Decision summary
The court granted an anti-suit injunction restraining Fan Ji Qian from pursuing the Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court proceedings and from commencing similar proceedings in Mainland China. The injunction was conditional on the plaintiffs reimbursing Fan's reasonable costs of the jurisdictional challenge and appeal in the Qianhai proceedings. The court also made an order nisi that Fan pay the plaintiffs' Hong Kong costs, to be taxed if not agreed, with a certificate for two counsel.
