- The Court of Cassation partially quashed without remand the Paris Court of Appeal's 7 December 2021 judgment only insofar as it rejected the Democratic Republic of the Congo's request to exercise the right of retrait litigieux under article 1699 of the French Civil Code. It declared that request inadmissible, held that the remaining challenge concerning notice and contradiction did not warrant cassation, ordered the Democratic Republic of the Congo to pay costs, and rejected the parties' article 700 applications.
